what’s up guys Scott Martin here sitting here at my home on Lake Okeechobee we want to give you a quick and easy fishing tip that started the basics guys how to rig a plastic arm hey I got a lot I see people rig plastic worms all different types of ways I’m going to show you the proper way of doing it correctly number one you start with the right type of hook I like an offset hook like we have here this is a nice TroKar hook as a nice offset to it and I’m going to show you how to properly rig a plastic arm because the fact of the matter is you want it rigged on there straight you’re going to catch more fish number one start with your favorite plastic worm I have a bruiser creature bait right here here’s the rule of thumb go in to the first Bend of that hook see that Bend right there go to that first Bend and come out come out dead center okay I went in through the center and I’m coming out center of the bait there on the bottom I’m going to push that bait up the hook around the neck of that hook that little bend and here’s the part that people mess up on they don’t push it around that all the way I like to cover the knot protects the knot then take your point choke up on your bait push it through the plastic worm and ride it on top of the plastic worm and hide your point on top like that now I have my favorite bullet weight right there here this is a standard Texas rig but here look at how straight it is how proper it is that is how you properly rig a Texas rig worm very simple do that every time you fish the Texas rig and you’ll catch more fish so stay tuned next week we’ll have more videos and click on the subscribe buttons down below stay tuned for more see you guys yeah
